Navratri Day 1: Goddess Shailaputri-First Form Of Durga
Clarity of Purpose
Navratri is a nine-day long festival that is celebrated in India. It is the celebration of Devi Durga and her nine forms. Devi Durga or Maa Durga symbolizes Shakti. Shakti is the energy that brings about balance and equilibrium. In the nine forms of Devi Durga, the first form is ‘Maa Shailaputri’.
Shailaputri means the daughter of mountains. ‘Shailaputri’ is considered the most powerful form of Devi Durga, and we pray to her on the first day of Navratri. She is immensely powerful, and rides a bull named Nandi, holding a trident, and a lotus.
Shailaputri is said to be a Devi of ‘Root Chakra’. Her abode is in the ‘Muladhara Chakra’. So, worshiping Mata Shailaputri helps the devotee realize the ‘Muladhara’ Shakti within oneself. It means tapping into the very essence of your soul, the root of your energy. We carry positive and negative auras and energies within us. and establishing control over those can significantly improve our life. When your mind is doubtful, chanting the name of the Devi Shailaputri helps the mind to remain calm, and find its power from within one’s self and clarity in mind emerges
Clarity of purpose or outcomes is very important in business too. A business leader must have clarity on
Clarity of Business Goals.
Clarity of Business Model.
Clarity of System and process.
Clarity of Roles for his team.
Clarity of Career growth to team members
When a Business leader has clarity on the above then he is able to articulate the outcomes clearly to his teams and inspire them towards the organization's objective. He is able to create a measurable milestone and it helps team members to be clear about what is expected of them to achieve and by when.
Lack of clarity creates chaos and frustration among the team and there is no positivity in the culture of the workplace. It’s said clarity precedes Success.
As goddess Shailaputri gives us courage, composure, and clarity, a team leader should also inspire courage with clarity of business objectives as a foundation thereby helping his team towards specific goals
